Location: UK Centre for Carnival Arts, St Mary Road Luton LU1 3JA

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to look after our busy arts centre building. This role is central to ensuring the centre is safe, welcoming, and well‑maintained for artists, audiences, and community groups.

What you’ll do

  • Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs

  • Ensure health & safety and fire procedures are followed

  • Open, close, and secure the building

  • Support cleaning, presentation, and event set‑up

  • Liaise with contractors and keep accurate records

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in caretaking, facilities, or building maintenance

  • Practical repair skills and health & safety awareness

  • Strong organisational and communication abilities

  • Reliability, problem‑solving, and a hands‑on approach
