Chats Palace Carnival Club

Chats Palace Carnival Club has been running for 10 years and comes from a multi cultural tradition. An integral element of the work of the organisation is to combine community participation in a cross-arts, interdisciplinary project. Chats Palace Carnival Club first played mas at Notting Hill in 1989 and has returned every year since with a float and a costumed troupe. Themes have covered many diverse topics and are developed annually through collaborations between designers and carnival club members. The troupe has grown over the past 10 years to a core band of 60 adults and children. The band has approximately 60 members.
