Nationally accredited, 3 month, level 2 qualification in Carnival Arts:
Yes, you can get a nationally recognised qualification in Carnival Arts! A fully accredited level 2 qualification is on its way (subject to validation) at the UKCCA.
This FREE 3 month course will cover all the main aspects of carnival and its art forms and allow some element of specialisation where appropriate.
You need no existing qualifications to take this course. It is suitable for complete beginners or those wishing to receive acknowledgement and accreditation for pre-existing skills. Available for those aged 16 – 100…

Foundation Degree in Carnival Arts:
The UKCCA is working with the University of Bedfordshire to develop a ground breaking Foundation Degree in Carnival Arts, which will be delivered at the UK Centre for Carnival Arts in our state of the art facilities.
The highest level national and international artists will inform the content of the degree and teach its varied elements.
Bursaries are available and there is support for those who are not familiar with formal education of this kind. If you want recognition for your carnival skills and wish to take your art or work in carnival to another level, then this could be your next step.

Community Festivals & Events Stewards Training Course:
For anyone interested in stewarding at Carnival or a career in crowd management or event stewarding in the leisure, music or sports sectors.
We are running this training FREE this year for anyone aged 16+ and living, working or studying in Luton. This is a nationally recognised level 2 qualification through the awarding body NCFE. Our training will have elements that focus specifically on Carnival, but the qualification will enable you to work as a steward at any event.
This training will be delivered by top-level training experts and support will be available for those who may need some extra help. This free qualification is part of the Roots to Carnival project funded by Arts Council England, Learning and Skills Council, European Social Fund and run in partnership with the University of Bedfordshire.

Security Industry Authority (SIA) Door Supervisors Training:
Nationally recognised security industry licence permitting the holder to seek employment in;
• Door supervision
• Security guarding duties
• Event Stewarding
We are running this course FREE this year for anyone aged 18+ and living, working or studying in Luton.
This is the industry standard, level 2 SIA qualification necessary for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the security industry.
Our training will have elements that focus specifically on Carnival, but the qualification will enable you to work in any part of the security industry.
