Carnival Education

Carnival presents an endless platform to stimulate learning and facilitate formal and informal skills development. As a force for change and empowerment UKCCA places education at the core of everything that we are and do.

UKCCA now has a proven track record in the successful delivery of education and community projects, winning delivery contracts from the Single Regeneration Budget programme, Heritage Lottery Fund, the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, the National Foundation for Youth Music, New Deal regeneration funds and Creative Partnerships.

We pioneer a responsive and innovative approach to skills training, identifying areas where excluded young people are at risk of falling through the net and other disadvantaged groups who have been marginalised and tend not to engage in other more formal education, can be engaged and follow an educational pathway to suit them.

We also work in partnership with key education institutions such as the University of Bedfordshire and schools to deliver formal education programmes and qualifications in carnival related activity.
