Masterclasses
With the arrival of Brazilian float artist Milton Cunha imminent, UKCCA is offering an opportunity for you participate in a Masterclass
Come and experience the creation of Brazilian Carnival float and design!
The Masterclass will be held on Tuesday 28th February from 12.00 until 17.00 and Wednesday 29th February from 10.00 until 17.00 at UKCCA, 3 St Mary's Road, Luton. These Masterclasses are open to everyone to apply and join in.
Themes to be covered in the Masterclass are:
- An overview of Rio Carnival tradition
- Rio Carnival designs and differences in Rio's Samba schools
- How floats are made and organised
Milton will be showing you first hand how floats are designed, what materials are used and what it feels like to be part of one of the most spectacular Carnivals in the world.

Masterclasses are £80 for both days and includes lunch at UKCCA's Mas Cafe.
